Dolpin Microcurrent Reduces Stress, Pain and Promotes Healing

The Dolphin microcurrent point stimulation device provides a gentle, non-invasive treatment that provides relief from stress and pain, and encourages tissue repair.  There are many studies to support how microcurrent accomplishes this.

A source of researched evidence that microcurrent reduces pain was published in a journal article titled “Microcurrent Point Stimulation Applied to Lower Back Acupuncture Points for the Treatment of Nonspecific Neck Pain”.  The outcomes revealed that pain intensity showed an initial statistically significant reduction of 68%, in mean neck pain levels after standard protocol treatment, when compared to initial pain levels. There was a further statistically significant reduction of 35% in mean neck pain levels at 48 h when compared to pain levels immediately after standard protocol treatment, for a total average pain relief of 80%. Microcurrent reduces stress as well.  A great study titled “Effectiveness of Frequency-Specific Microcurrent (FSM) Therapy and Relaxation in Adults with Distress: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial” showed that symptoms and satisfaction with life significantly improved in the test group after six or twelve sessions of FSM (frequency specific microcurrent) therapy as well as after relaxation. There were also significant improvements in perceived stress, emotional distress, emotion regulation, and emotional states (negative emotions, self-efficacy, and serenity), after six and/or 12 sessions of FSM therapy or relaxation.(2)

There is important research showing results that microcurrent can increase healing.  A published article titled “Microcurrent as an adjunct therapy to accelerate chronic wound healing and reduce patient pain” concluded that there was significant reduction in wound area and pain score during the treatment period. The ease of use of microcurrent devices would advocate its use in accelerating wound healing.  They also found improvements in other parameters, such as reduction in inflammatory symptoms, increased vasodilation, improvement in sleep quality, gait, and frequency of bowel movement with no adverse events were reported.
