I suppose I was working toward a career in naturopathic medicine before I knew it existed. Growing up on a 4th generation family farm in Huron County – eating homegrown food, identifying plants, making maple syrup in the spring, getting fresh air and exercise everyday was just a way of life. In university I followed my love of plants and pursued a degree in botany. I learned of naturopathic medicine through my interest in herbalism. In 1998 I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, completed board exams and practiced in Dallas Texas for 8 years. Eventually the call of four seasons, family, friends and a more balanced life beckoned us back to Ontario and in 2005 we settled in Georgetown with our 2 sons.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the most extraordinary doctors, healers, mentors, authors and patients. I’m humbled by the power of body, mind and spirit in helping people recover and feel better. While our physical health allows us to lead full days, our emotional and spiritual health allows us to feel fulfilled. Health is organic – it grows and develops, ebbs and flows. If we can be involved in your health care we’re honoured. Cheers to living not just full but fulfilling lives!

Additional certifications:

In 2022 I became certified by The Menopause Society (formerly NAMS) as a Certified Menopause Practitioner (MSCP). The Menopause Society serves as the definitive North American resource for health professionals and the public for the most up to date and unbiased menopause information.

My practice is wholeheartedly dedicated to providing care for women through perimenopause and beyond. I have a comprehensive approach to midlife women’s health including education, lifestyle medicine and menopause hormone therapy when indicated. Along with 1 on 1 clinical care, women can access an online learning portal between office visits and group workshops periodically through the year.
